Full Tribute to the Troops coverage
This is my favorite event of the year, said John Cena from Ft. Hood in Killeen, TX.
Joining John Cena at the largest military installation in the free world were WWE Diva Eve, Cedric The Entertainer and Sherri Shepherd, who all came out to show their support for the U.S. Military and WWE.
It was an easy decision to join WWE today. Im not getting physically involved because John Cena asked me not to show him up, Cedric said. Also, I have a pulled hamstring, he said while pointing to his triceps.
I love seeing all of these soldiers, said Sherri Shepherd. Im looking for a single man with good credit, she joked. I am just so honored to be here. I cant wait to go back and tell the ladies on The View how much fun I had.
In addition to visiting Ft. Hood, WWE recently ventured to Afghanistan as part of its annual Tribute to the Troops holiday special. Big Show, Kelly Kelly, Eve and WWE Chairman Vince McMahon all met with members of the U.S. Armed Forces.
Going to Afghanistan was a reminder that our Troops give up luxuries like seeing their families whenever they want to so we don't have to, said Eve.
To our Troops around the world, keep your heads down. Keep your hearts strong. Get home safe, said Cena.
